I thought I would share this video I made after an interesting lunch encounter:
9 Replies to “The Alphabet and Counting in Binary!”
Brain. Hurts.
Nifty. I didn’t know you could do the alphabet so easily / counting on the hand. I can get up to 32 or so in my head pretty quickly thanks to my binary clock I keep on my desk that keeps me in the habit of using binary numbers fairly frequently. However, this method is very awesome.
Thanks for the tip.
Um, no idea what you’re doing. Ow, my head hurts. I think I need to see your hands plus the actual binary in order to grok. Glad you can do it, though. Nice prize.
Love the Binary story. I am embedding this on my site. Was this guy you ran into a geek as well?
Uh, wait. Now I’m confused. Did you say his name was in ASCII or EBCDIC? ;)
:( Tumblr doesn’t do trackback. Or I just further proved my un-geekiness cuz your mnemonic is lost on me.
Brian,
I stumbled on your website through a link in PopPhotoFlash… The video blog that you recorded on the escalator in particular was what caught my eye.
Continuing on in viewing your blog I had to commend you on the binary skills! I had a flash of “bowing down to a Master” you rock!
Thank you for taking the time to highlight the rooftop shoot with AcmePhotography! Tutorials like that prompt me to venture beyond the AUTO features of my Nikon!

That’s gnarly. Gotta start practicing.
